Description:

This sixth course in the Design for Net-Zero Energy and Carbon series examines net-zero carbon tools. We will explore the strategies, technologies, and software tools essential to designing and managing buildings and communities that produce as much energy as they consume. This course will equip you with practical knowledge of key tools used in both operational and net-embodied carbon emission analysis.

Through this course, you will gain the skills needed to implement net-zero carbon strategies in practice. We will cover fundamental concepts of net-zero carbon, review carbon emission factor data sources and conversion factors, introduce analysis tools and best practices, and show how these tools are used throughout a design project.

Each section of this series may be taken as an individual course.
