Description:

Because the built environment is a major contributor to climate change—creating 40% of the world’s CO2 emissions—it is the responsibility of architects, engineers, and owners to target net-zero energy and net-zero carbon building designs. This course, part of a seven-part series, takes a closer look at elements of net-zero energy buildings, the benefits of electrification, and the impact of the grid. The course also examines the elements used to achieve net-positive energy in three real-world buildings. Each section of this series may be taken as an individual course.
