"The increasing numbers of older people, combined with changes in the way these people want to live their later years and their expectation of higher quality of life, are creating the need for new care and housing options. Thus, new ideas about senior care and housing have developed the look of these environments not simply as health-care facilities but as seniors' homes."
- Bradford Perkins

Housing for seniors has come a long way since the nursing homes and inconsistent personal care homes of the 1980s. Today's seniors are demanding more options to satisfy their diverse lifestyles. Design professionals must meet their challenging expectations with the utmost care and latest technology.
